Candace Bahr, CEA, CDSWith almost three decades of experience as a financial professional, she is the co-founder and managing partner of Bahr Investment Group, a comprehensive, independent wealth management firm in Carlsbad, CA. Candace, and her husband, John Baranowski founded the firm in 1998, and are affiliated with LPL Financial Services, the largest independent brokerage firm in the United States. Honored as a member of the LPL Chairman's Council, she and John are in the top three percent of the firm's representatives recognized for outstanding performance and service. As a Certified Estate Advisor (CEA) and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA), Candace is privileged to have been named one of the “Top 10 Outstanding Brokers in the United States” for 2003 by Registered Rep, a leading industry magazine.

Nationally Known.

Candace’s expertise is recognized far beyond the walls of her private wealth management practice. As a nationally recognized advocate of women and their financial independence, Candace leverages her decades of real experience and degree in economics from the University of Wisconsin to help women throughout the world. In 1988, she co-founded the nonprofit Women’s Institute for Financial Education (www.wife.org). Through Wife.org, Candace and her team have donated thousands of hours and substantial assets to help teach and empower women no matter what their financial circumstances.

Locally Focused.

Locally, Candace originated the workshop, Second Saturday – What Women Need To Know About Divorce along with WIFE.org co-founder Ginita Wall. Run continuously each month for almost twenty years, it has helped over 8,000 women (and some men) deal with the legal, financial and psychological issues of divorce. Additionally, the program has raised over $100,000 for scholarships and other charitable causes.

Sharing Her Insights.

A woman with a message, Candace has hosted a weekly Money segment on KUSI TV in San Diego. Her insights have been included in a PBS documentary on women and money. She writes a monthly financial column for Décor & Style magazine as well as a weekly personal finance column that commands front page prominence in the business section of the North County Times. In 2004, Candace added a book to her accomplishments, It’s More Than Money--It’s Your Life! The New Money Club for Women (John Wiley & Sons, Inc). She is also frequently interviewed as a financial expert and has been quoted in the New York Times, Fortune, Bloomberg, Money, and Oprah Magazine.

Accomplishments And Recognition.

Additionally, Candace has been a featured speaker at the UC Berkeley Women in Leadership Conference, at the San Diego Union Tribune’s Right On the Money Conference and the California Governor’s Conference on Women. She has been recognized as a Woman of Merit by the North County Times, as a Woman Who Means Business by the San Diego Business Journal, and she garnered the Women Helping Women Award from Soroptimist International North Coast San Diego. Candace is listed in National Register’s Who’s Who in Executives and Professionals and Who’s Who International.

Candace makes her home in Carlsbad, CA with her husband John and their teenage daughter, Carrie.
